Ric Jason (Chief Geologist)

Ric is a proven hydrocarbon finder with 15 years world-wide experience.  He is especially renowned for his accuracy and efficiency in exploration and development and for the generation of new play types in several different geological settings. Ric is known as the principal geoscientist that lead a consortium to a dominant position in the offshore Otway Basin where the largest discovery to date at Thylacine, and the Geographe discovery, doubled the known reserves of the basin. He was an established and respected Senior Geoscientist at BHPBilltion and Hardman Resources working in deep water environments, including the Atlantic Margin salt basins in Mauritania.  He has extensive experience in project and portfolio management, with over 10 years in operated roles for international joint ventures. He has most recently been involved in screening global oil and gas deals.
