Harry Wilson (Non-Executive Director)

Mr Wilson has over 30 years international experience in the upstream sector of the oil industry initially as an explorer with BP and then as the founder and CEO of several independent oil companies. During this period he led public listings for 4 companies. He has been both an executive and non-executive director of listed companies in the UK and abroad. While working in the independent sector, Harry has built up an extensive range of London City contacts in the investment, broking and advisory communities.
Over the last 6 years Harry has been involved in AIM listed Sterling Energy Plc initially as CEO and more recently as Executive Deputy Chairman. Sterling built a portfolio of exploration interests in W Africa as well as production in the Gulf of Mexico. Sterling was one of the first companies to acquire a license in the highly prospective Kurdish region of northern Iraq. Harry was also a non-executive director of AIM listed Forum Energy which listed in 2006 following the purchase of part of Sterling’s exploration portfolio.
